Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev has advanced to the quarterfinals of the US Open after a commanding victory over Portugal's Nuno Borges in the fourth round.
The match, which lasted 1 hour and 47 minutes, concluded with a decisive 6-0, 6-1, 6-3 scoreline. Throughout the game, Medvedev delivered nine aces, committed five double faults, and converted eight out of 16 break points.
In the tournament's quarterfinals, the 28-year-old Russian will face the winner of the match between Italy's Jannik Sinner and the USA's Tommy Paul.
The Grand Slam tournament will continue until September 8.
