Mendes: «I was urinating blood after the fight with Aldo»

American MMA fighter Chad Mendes has described his bout against Brazilian Jose Aldo as the toughest of his career.

On October 25, 2014, Aldo defeated Mendes by unanimous decision at UFC 179 in Rio de Janeiro.

«Aldo is a beast. I still tell everyone that it was my hardest fight. Everyone always thinks it was the fight with Conor, but it wasn't. Aldo was on a different level.

That night when I returned to the hotel, I was urinating blood. That had never happened in any of my fights. I was badly beaten», — Mendes said in an interview with MMA Fighting.

Mendes has 18 wins and five losses in MMA, whereas Aldo boasts 32 wins and eight losses.
