Messi names the player who should win the Ballon d'Or in 2024
Lionel Messi, forward for the Argentina national team and Inter Miami, has identified the player he believes deserves the Ballon d'Or in 2024.
Messi advocates for his compatriot Lautaro Martinez, the Inter striker, to receive the award. "He has had an incredible year. He scored a goal in the final [of the Copa America] and became the top scorer. He deserves the Ballon d'Or more than anyone else," Messi is quoted by Gazzetta dello Sport.
According to various reports, the 2024 Ballon d'Or is expected to be awarded to Vinicius Junior, the Real Madrid and Brazil forward.
