Morgan on Criticism Towards Ronaldo: "I've heard so much nonsense. He remains the best finisher"

Renowned British journalist and television presenter Piers Morgan disagrees with the idea that Portuguese national team and Al-Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo is no longer the player he used to be.

"I have heard so much nonsense about this. I've heard claims that Ronaldo is finished, that he took the easy path by going to Saudi Arabia, making him not to be taken seriously. And what do you think after Portugal's last two games?

In the match against Scotland, Cristiano first hit the post, and then scored a goal. Yes, he didn't have the best Euro, just like the entire Portuguese national team. The truth is, Ronaldo remains one of the best finishers in world football," quoted Morgan by Talksport.

On September 5th, Ronaldo scored his 900th career goal, finding the net in a Nations League match against Croatia. In addition to his 900 goals, the Portuguese forward has 254 assists to his name.
