Morgan on Rice’s Red Card in Brighton Match: "The Worst Red Card Decision in Football History"
Journalist Piers Morgan has expressed his displeasure at the sending-off of Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice during the third round of the English Premier League (EPL) match against Brighton, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
"What on earth was that? Rice sent off for getting kicked? The worst red card decision I've ever seen, the worst red card decision in football history!" Morgan wrote on social media.
At the beginning of the second half, Rice received a second yellow card from referee Chris Kavanagh for kicking the ball away just before an opponent's free kick. Meanwhile, Brighton defender Joël Veltman struck him on the leg.
