Nadal Comments on Sinner's Doping Test Situation for the First Time

Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal has, for the first time, addressed the doping case involving Italy's Jannik Sinner.

«I believe in people's honesty. I know Sinner, and I do not think he intended to take doping substances. Justice is justice. I trust the authorities that make such decisions. If he has not been sanctioned, then he did not take doping,» Nadal is quoted as saying by The Tennis Letter.

On August 20, the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) released a statement revealing that Sinner had returned two positive doping tests in March. However, Jannik has avoided suspension.
