Neto: «I am grateful to have joined Chelsea»

Chelsea striker Pedro Neto has commented on his transfer to the London club.

Today the Blues announced the acquisition of the 24-year-old winger from Wolverhampton Wanderers for a fee of €60 million plus an additional €3 million in bonuses. The Portuguese international has signed a contract with Chelsea that extends until the summer of 2031.

«I feel really grateful to have joined this club. I have worked really hard in my career to be here and I’m looking forward to getting on the pitch with this shirt», — Neto was quoted as saying by Chelsea's press office.

Pedro Neto has been with Wolverhampton since 2019. In the previous season, he scored three goals and provided 11 assists in 24 matches for the Wolves. Notably, the Portuguese winger missed over three months due to a hamstring injury.

Transfermarkt estimates the player's market value at €55 million.
