Nico Rosberg Believes Antonelli is a Driver on Verstappen's Level

2016 Formula 1 Champion Nico Rosberg has revealed that Italian driver from Mercedes' youth system, Andrea Kimi Antonelli, resembles Red Bull's Dutch driver Max Verstappen.

"Antonelli simply doesn't have a fast enough car at his disposal to show everything he's capable of in Formula 2. Kimi Antonelli raced for my karting team when he was still a child, and he was just phenomenal. Antonelli is a driver on Max Verstappen's level. He has an incredible skill set and potential," Rosberg told GP Fans.

This summer, Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff stated that he does not rule out the possibility of the 17-year-old Antonelli making his Formula 1 debut in 2025.
