Olmo Explains His Decision to Join Barcelona
Midfielder Dani Olmo has explained why he decided to move from RB Leipzig to Barcelona.
«I chose Barcelona because I want to win and compete for trophies. Our club must fight for every possible title. I'm happy that my dream has come true. I'm thrilled to be back home», — Olmo was quoted as saying by Mundo Deportivo.
On August 9, Barcelona announced Olmo's transfer. The Catalan club has signed a contract with the 26-year-old player, which will run until the summer of 2030.
Last season, the midfielder scored eight goals and provided five assists in 25 matches for Leipzig. At the victorious Euro 2024 for Spain, Olmo contributed three goals and two assists in six games.
