Panarin's hat-trick secures Rangers' victory over Detroit in NHL clash

The New York Rangers triumphantly defeated the Detroit Red Wings with a 5-2 victory in a regular-season NHL showdown. The encounter took place at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.

For the visiting side, Russian forward Artemi Panarin delivered a standout performance with a hat-trick, scoring at the 9th, 16th (power play), and 32nd (power play) minutes. Additional goals for the Rangers came from Vincent Trocheck (29', power play) and Victor Mancini (33'). Meanwhile, for the home team, Moritz Seider (22') and J.T. Compher (57', power play) found the back of the net.

Panarin also contributed with an assist in this matchup.

In the NHL Eastern Conference standings, the Rangers hold second place with seven points. Detroit, however, finds itself at the bottom, in 16th position, with just two points.

The Red Wings' next fixture is on October 19, where they will face the Nashville Predators away. The New York team will meet the Toronto Maple Leafs on the road the following day.
