Premier League announces august player of the month nominees
The English Premier League (EPL) has announced the nominees for the Player of the Month award for August.
Eight players have been shortlisted for the award:
- Erling Haaland (Manchester City) – 7 goals in 3 matches;
- Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford) – 3 goals in 3 matches;
- Amadou Onana (Aston Villa) – 2 goals in 3 matches;
- Cole Palmer (Chelsea) – 1 goal and 3 assists in 2 matches;
- David Raya (Arsenal) – 2 clean sheets out of 3 matches, 9 saves;
- Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) – 1 goal and 3 assists in 3 matches;
- Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) – 2 goals and 1 assist in 2 matches;
- Danny Welbeck (Brighton) – 2 goals and 1 assist in 3 matches.
The winner will be decided through a fan vote, which will run until 9 September.
