PSG could be excluded from the Champions League due to debt owed to Mbappé

PSG could be excluded from the 2024/2025 Champions League due to a payment dispute with former player Kylian Mbappé, who is now playing for Real Madrid. This was reported by Sport Bible, citing Le Monde.

It has previously come to light that Mbappé has approached the legal commission of the French league and UEFA through the French Football Federation, seeking €55 million in compensation for an old contract with PSG.

The French league (LFP) may impose a transfer ban on the Parisians and revoke their UEFA license, which would lead to their immediate exclusion from the Champions League.

It is worth noting that any club participating in UEFA competitions must provide evidence of settling any wage arrears with its staff by February 28 prior to the licensing season.

Mbappé transferred to Real Madrid from PSG this summer as a free agent.
