Rapper Jay-Z could become a part-owner of Everton

American businessman John Textor, who is likely to become the owner of Everton in the near future, plans to involve rapper Shawn Corey Carter, better known as Jay-Z, in the deal. This was reported by The Sun.

It is noted that in addition to Jay-Z, Textor has reached out to several other potential partners.

Earlier reports indicated that Textor has made progress in negotiations to purchase the club from its current owner, Farhad Moshiri. For the deal to go through, Textor will need to sell the 45% stake he currently holds in Crystal Palace. Otherwise, acquiring shares in Everton will not be possible due to Premier League regulations.

It's worth mentioning that Jay-Z owns the agency Roc Nation Sports, which represents clients such as Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne and Napoli striker Romelu Lukaku.
