Ricciardo: "I've loved this sport my entire life"
Australian driver Daniel Ricciardo shared his thoughts after parting ways with Red Bull and the likely conclusion of his Formula 1 career.
"I've loved this sport my entire life. It's wild, wonderful, and it's been a true journey. To the teams and people who've played a part – thank you. To the fans who sometimes love this sport more than I do – haha – thank you. There are always highs and lows, but it’s been fun, and honestly, I wouldn’t change a thing. On to the next adventure," the driver wrote on social media.
During the final stages of the Singapore Grand Prix, Ricciardo took the fastest lap from McLaren’s Lando Norris, denying him a Grand Slam, and was named the race’s top performer. On 26 September, it was confirmed that Daniel had left Red Bull, with New Zealander Liam Lawson taking his place.
