Before the Singapore Grand Prix, media reports suggested that Ricciardo would be replaced by New Zealander Liam Lawson. RB activated a clause in Lawson's contract, securing him a seat in Formula 1 for the 2025 season.
Towards the end of the Singapore Grand Prix, Ricciardo snatched the fastest lap from McLaren's Lando Norris, preventing him from securing a Grand Slam, and was also named the best performer of the race.
