Ronaldo misses Saudi Supercup presentation following heavy defeat to Al-Hilal

Al-Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo did not participate in the trophy presentation for the Saudi Supercup.

The Riyadh club suffered a 1-4 defeat to Al-Hilal in the tournament final, with the Portuguese striker scoring the only goal for his team in the match.

According to Al Nassr Zone, Ronaldo was absent when his teammates were awarded silver medals. The 39-year-old forward headed straight to the dressing room immediately after the match concluded, while the other players remained on the field.

This marks the eighth tournament loss for Al-Nassr since Ronaldo's transfer. In the 2022/23 season, the Riyadh club finished second in the Saudi Pro League, exited in the semifinals of the domestic supercup, and lost to Al-Wahda (0-1) in the semifinals of the cup. In the previous campaign, Al-Nassr was again a league runner-up, lost to Al-Hilal in the Saudi Cup final, fell short in the semifinals of the domestic supercup, and was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the AFC Champions League.
