Safiullin lost to Mannarino in the first round of the tournament in Almaty

Russian tennis player Roman Safiullin, ranked 58th in the world, has ended his run at the ATP-250 hard-court tournament in Almaty, Kazakhstan. In the round of 32, he lost to Frenchman Adrian Mannarino, the defending champion of the tournament and currently ranked 56th, with a scoreline of 7-5, 6-7 (4-7), 3-6. 

The match lasted 2 hours and 46 minutes. Safiullin delivered nine aces, committed two double faults, and converted three out of ten break points. Mannarino, on the other hand, served two aces, made five double faults, and secured three out of six break points. 

In the round of 16, Mannarino will face the winner of the match between Australians James Duckworth and Aleksandar Vukic. The tournament in Almaty, with a prize fund of $1,036,700, is taking place from October 14 to 20.
