Sahin: "We stood firm and secured a deserved victory over Heidenheim"

The head coach of Borussia Dortmund, Nuri Sahin, has commented on their victory against Heidenheim in the third round of the Bundesliga.

Yesterday, the "Black and Yellows" triumphed 4-2 on their home turf against Frank Schmidt's team.

"We won deservedly and had a very good start to the match. Initially, we closed the door by taking a 2-0 lead, but then we opened it again. We had several scoring chances, but Heidenheim managed to come back into the game.

We stood firm and ultimately secured a deserved victory," Sahin's words were reported by the Bundesliga's press service.

Borussia currently leads the Bundesliga table with seven points. Heidenheim, with six points, is in second place.

Dortmund's next opponent will be Stuttgart, and they will play them away on September 22.
