Sainz: "There Are No Friends in Formula 1"

Italian Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz Jr. has commented on the rivalry between McLaren drivers Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris at the Italian Grand Prix.

"Regarding the incident on the first lap when Piastri overtook Norris, I didn't see it. When you're behind two McLaren cars, it's hard to tell who's who, so I can't say what exactly happened between them. But it just goes to show that there are no friends in Formula 1 and you can't trust anyone," Sainz was quoted as saying by Marca.

The Italian Grand Prix concluded at the Monza circuit on 1 September. Ferrari's Charles Leclerc emerged as the winner of the race, with Piastri finishing second and Norris completing the podium in third place.
