Salah Breaks Shearer, Lampard, and Rooney's Record for Goals in Premier League Openers

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah made his mark in the opening match of the English Premier League (EPL) against Ipswich Town (2-0).

The Egyptian striker netted his ninth goal in Premier League opening fixtures. According to Opta statistics, this achievement surpasses the previous record held by Alan Shearer, Frank Lampard, and Wayne Rooney, all of whom had scored eight goals in opening matches.

Salah also holds the record for the most goal contributions (goals plus assists) in Premier League openers with 14.
