Saudi club Al-Ahli acquires England forward Toney

Brentford and England national team striker Ivan Toney has made a move to Al-Ahli, as announced by the Saudi club's press office.

The transfer fee is reported to be €42 million. The 28-year-old forward has signed a contract with Al-Ahli lasting until the summer of 2028. Toney joins a roster that includes forwards Roberto Firmino and Riyad Mahrez, midfielders Franck Kessié and Gabri Veiga, defender Merih Demiral, and goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.

Ivan Toney had been with Brentford since 2020. During his time with the Bees, he played 141 matches, scoring 72 goals and providing 23 assists. He missed half of the previous season due to a suspension related to illegal betting on his own team's matches.

Toney has one goal and one assist in six appearances for the England national team.

Transfermarkt values the player at €50 million.
