«Silenced Many Critics»: Valverde Praises Mbappe's Real Madrid Debut

Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde has lauded the performance of French forward Kylian Mbappe in their UEFA Super Cup match against Atalanta (2-0).

This game marked Mbappe’s debut for the Madrid club. The Frenchman made an impact by scoring a goal in the recent encounter.

"Very happy to see that Mbappe started with a goal and a victory, especially after all the recent talks that could have affected the locker room. I think Kylian has silenced many critics," Madrid Xtra quotes Valverde as saying.

Los Blancos clinched the UEFA Super Cup for the sixth time in their history.

Mbappe joined Real Madrid from PSG this summer as a free agent. The forward has signed a contract with the Madrid side until the summer of 2029.
