Slot matched Liverpool's historic record

Liverpool's head coach Arne Slot has equalled a historic record for the English club, as reported by Opta Sport.

Liverpool triumphed over Brentford in the second round of the Premier League, securing a 2-0 victory. In doing so, Slot matched the achievement of Graeme Souness from 1991, becoming the first manager to win his opening two matches in charge of the team in the Premier League, according to Opta Sports.

The 45-year-old Slot took the helm of Liverpool this summer, having previously served as the head coach of Feyenoord.

After two rounds of the Premier League, Liverpool occupies fourth place in the standings, having amassed six points.
