Sommer Announces Retirement from Swiss National Team

Yann Sommer, the goalkeeper for Inter Milan and the Swiss national team, has announced his retirement from international football. This was confirmed by the press service of the Swiss Football Association.

“12 years of excellence, reliability, and always a positive spirit. Thank you, Yann Sommer!” the organization stated in a social media post.

The 35-year-old goalkeeper made his debut for the Swiss national team in 2012 and has since played 94 matches, conceding 92 goals while keeping 35 clean sheets.
