St-Pierre: «I love MMA, but I hate fighting»

Former UFC champion in two weight classes, Georges St-Pierre, has stated that he detests fighting.

«I'll be honest with you...100%, I never like to fight. I love the sport. I love the science of it...But I despise fighting. It’s unbearable for me. I’m extremely uncomfortable. Not knowing if I will be hurt, humiliated or winning the ultimate prize is unbearable for me», — St-Pierre said during the podcast This Past Weekend.

Throughout his MMA career, Georges St-Pierre secured 26 victories and suffered two defeats. In April 2008, he won the UFC welterweight title for the second time in his career, successfully defending it ten times in a row thereafter.

In November 2017, St-Pierre made his debut in the middleweight division and became the champion of the promotion in his very first fight, defeating Michael Bisping. This match marked the end of the Canadian’s professional career.
