Stanley Cup winner Okposo announces retirement

Stanley Cup winner with the Florida Panthers, forward Kyle Okposo, has announced his retirement from professional hockey.

«Thirty years of playing hockey—it’s been fantastic. The sport has shown me amazing places and given me unique experiences. I'm looking forward to contributing to the game off the ice», — Okposo wrote on his social media accounts.

Kyle Okposo has amassed 614 points (242 goals, 372 assists) in 1,051 NHL games over his career. The American forward joined the Florida Panthers during the last season from the Buffalo Sabres. In the 2024 Stanley Cup playoffs, Okposo played in 17 games, providing two assists. In the final series, the Florida Panthers defeated the Edmonton Oilers with a 4-3 series win.
