Suarez Announces Retirement from Uruguay National Team

Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez of Inter Miami has announced his retirement from the national team.

Suarez will play his final match for Uruguay on 7 September, when they face Paraguay in a World Cup qualifying fixture.

The 37-year-old Suarez is the all-time leading scorer for Uruguay, having made 142 appearances and netted 69 goals for the national team.
