The Philadelphia Flyers suffered a 3-4 loss to the Edmonton Oilers in their NHL regular-season game.

Despite the loss, Matvei Michkov of the Flyers scored his debut double, netting goals in the 5th and 10th minutes. Bobby Brink added another goal for Philadelphia in the 40th minute. Edmonton's goals came from Adam Henrique (27th minute), Connor Brown (35th minute), Evan Bouchard (57th minute), and Leon Draisaitl, who sealed the win with a goal in overtime (61st minute).

Flyers' Russian defenseman Egor Zamula contributed an assist.

Philadelphia is currently 11th in the Eastern Conference with three points, while Edmonton sits in 14th place in the Western Conference with two points.

Philadelphia's next game is against the Nashville Predators on October 18, and Edmonton will face the Seattle Kraken the same day.
