Thiago Alcântara leaves Barcelona coaching staff

Barcelona have announced the departure of Thiago Alcântara from the club's coaching staff.

On July 17, the former Spain international joined the staff of Blaugrana head coach Hans-Dieter Flick after ending his playing career.

Thiago was appointed as an assistant, replacing Arnau Blanco, who had previously worked with Barcelona's U-16 team.

A product of Barcelona's youth academy, Alcântara played for the first team from 2008 to 2013. He is also well-known for his stints with Bayern Munich and Liverpool.
