Tsitsipas sensationally defeated in the first round of the US Open
The world's 11th-ranked Greek tennis player, Stefanos Tsitsipas, failed to advance to the second round of the US Open.
In the first-round match, Tsitsipas was defeated by the world's 86th-ranked player, Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis, with a score of 6-7 (5-7), 6-4, 3-6, 5-7.
In the next round, Kokkinakis will face the winner of the match between Nuno Borges of Portugal and Federico Coria of Argentina.
