Verstappen Does Not Rule Out a Move to Aston Martin

Dutch Red Bull driver Max Verstappen has responded to questions about a potential move to Aston Martin.

"Right now, I have other concerns that need my attention and focus. Maybe at some point in the future, I'll think about it, but definitely not now. And honestly, I'm fine with Adrian [Newey] leaving because we have always gotten along well. I sent him a message after it was officially announced, even though I already knew what was going to happen.

I'm happy for him. It's a new challenge. I've always said I would have been very pleased if he stayed at Red Bull. But at some point, there's no turning back, and you just feel happy for people who are seeking new challenges. I also know that Lawrence Stroll is doing everything possible to ensure Aston Martin's success, so his desire to bring Adrian on board is completely understandable," Verstappen told GP Blog.

On September 10, Aston Martin announced the signing of designer Adrian Newey. He is currently working with Red Bull but will leave the team at the end of the current season, in the first quarter of 2025.
