WADA may appeal the doping case involving Sinner by the end of September

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) may appeal the doping case involving world number one Yannick Sinner by the end of September. This information was reported by AP News, citing a source within the organization.

The Italian Anti-Doping Agency and WADA are the two entities that have the right to challenge the decision made by the independent tribunal, announced by the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) on August 20, which stated that Sinner would not be disqualified, as the ITIA determined that the banned substance entered his system unintentionally during a massage.

According to doping regulations, any party entitled to appeal has 21 days to do so, with WADA permitted an additional 21 days beyond that.

Previously, WADA representatives stated that the organization is "still reviewing the Sinner case, and no decision has been made yet."
