"What Bad Luck For Him." Van der Vaart on Kane's Move to Bayern

Former Tottenham Hotspur player Rafael van der Vaart has shared his views on Harry Kane's transfer from Spurs to Bayern Munich.

"I am glad he didn’t join another English club. I think Harry is Tottenham. Do you understand what I mean? When you grow up at Tottenham, come through their youth system, and they give you everything they can, but then you go on to play for Manchester United and score against them? It’s acceptable, but not for Harry. Harry embodies Tottenham, so this was the right transfer. Of course, he wants to win something, and Bayern has been clinching titles every year. He goes there, scores another 40 goals, and then, out of nowhere, Bayer Leverkusen comes along. What bad luck. I feel so sorry for him," van der Vaart told Goal.

Kane joined Bayern Munich from Tottenham in the summer of 2023. Last season, he played 45 matches for the Munich club, scoring 44 goals and providing 12 assists.
