Wilder's Coach: "Deontay Will Return and Compete at the Highest Level"

Malik Scott, the coach of former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder, has confirmed that the athlete does not intend to retire from boxing.

"Deontay will return. A bright future in boxing still awaits him, and he will compete at the highest level. The best options for him are fights against Anthony Joshua or Francis Ngannou," Scott stated, as reported by talkSport.

Wilder last stepped into the ring in June, when he suffered a technical knockout defeat against Zhilei Zhang in the fifth round.
