Yamal Named Most Experienced Footballer Under 21 by CIES
The International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) Football Observatory has compiled a list of the most experienced footballers aged 20 and under. The list includes:
1. Lamine Yamal (Barcelona) – 2.75 times more experienced than the average player in his age group.
2. Pau Cubarsi (Barcelona) – 2.42.
3-4. Endrick (Real Madrid) – 2.4.
3-4. Warren Zaïre-Emery (PSG) – 2.4.
5. Kobbie Mainoo (Manchester United) – 2.32.
6. Archie Gray (Tottenham) – 2.31.
7. Guillaume Restes (Toulouse) – 2.3.
8. Kendry Paez (Independiente del Valle) – 2.27.
9. Joao Neves (PSG) – 2.24.
10. Lewis Miley (Newcastle) – 2.19.
The rankings are based on the players' game time in the previous season and the competitive level of their matches.
On September 10, the 17-year-old Yamal was named La Liga's Player of the Month for August.
