Simon Dalton presents his prediction for the EuroCup regular season match.
The Romanian club Cluj-Napoca will host the Spanish side Valencia Basket in the third round of the EuroCup. After two initial games in Group B, Valencia Basket have secured two victories and lead the standings.
Cluj-Napoca
This season, Cluj-Napoca have struggled not only in European contests but also in their domestic league. From four official matches, they've managed just one victory, which was against clear underdogs Voluntari. In the EuroCup, the Romanian team lost at home to Cedevita Olimpija (86:93) despite being the clear favourites and couldn't handle the French side Bourg on the road (73:84).
Valencia Basket
Valencia Basket had to part ways with the Euroleague, replaced by Paris. Nonetheless, their squad remains impressive. Notably, former Boston Celtics forward Semi Ojeleye continues with the team, averaging 10.5 points per game over two EuroCup matches, shooting 47.1% from the field. Valencia made light work of Hapoel Jerusalem and Hamburg Towers, defeating both with a margin of over 16 points.
Cluj-Napoca vs Valencia Basket Prediction
Valencia Basket continue to affirm their status as major favourites in Group B, while Cluj-Napoca have been disappointing their fans so far. The visitors are expected to once again demonstrate their superiority and win comfortably.
