Australian Open 2021 Mens Final: Djokovic vs Medvedev

Australian Open Tennis :  Djokovic vs Medvedev(Sunday 7th Feb)

First held in 1905 the Australian Open is a tennis tournament held annually over the last fortnight of January at Melbourne Park in Melbourne, Australia. The tournament is the first of the four Grand Slam tennis events held each year, preceding the French Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open. As of 2020 total prize money available is a hefty $71m Aus Dollars, which is just shy of £40m.

The current champion Novak Djokovic,  who has won the title on each of the eight previous occasions he has reached the semi-finals in Melbourne. His Semi Final win was a much-needed comfortable evening for Djokovic after the dramas of an injury in the third-round five-setter against Taylor Fritz and scraping through against Alexander Zverev in the quarter-finals.

He will meet Daniil Medvedev in the final, who beat Stefanos Tsitsipas in the semis on Friday evening to reach the second grand slam final of his career, and extend his remarkable winning streak to 20. He will be aiming to make it 2021 on Sunday.

Who is going to win? What are the value bets?

This is the most evenly matched tennis final in quite some time, with both players being ranked by the bookies at around Evens. Best odds put Djokovic as slight favourite though.
