A footballer from the Mexican club injured journalists by setting off a firecracker during a press conference

Midfielder Roberto Alvarado of the Mexican football team Guadalajara caused a stir by setting off a firecracker during a press conference ahead of the national championship match against Atlas, as reported by ESPN.

As a result of the incident, several journalists sustained injuries, with one reporter hit in the face by a fragment of the exploding firecracker. In protest, other media representatives subsequently walked out of the event.

Later, Alvarado issued an apology, clarifying that his actions were intended as a prank to amuse his teammates.
