Ranieri Confirms He Will Take Over at Roma

Italian manager Claudio Ranieri has confirmed his agreement with AS Roma.

"We have a tough task ahead," Ranieri told Ansa. "That's why they called me. We're ready! We're going!"

According to insider Fabrizio Romano, the 73-year-old coach is prepared to come out of retirement for the chance to manage the Rome-based club. The club's management and Ranieri reportedly reached an agreement for a contract through the end of the season during a meeting in London, with final contract details currently being finalized.

Ranieri retired this past summer, with his last position being at Cagliari. Notably, he previously managed Roma from 2009 to 2011 and briefly returned from March to June in 2019.
