Aguero lists favorites for 2024/25 Champions League
Former Manchester City and Atlético Madrid striker Sergio Aguero has named the favorites for the 2024/25 Champions League season.
“With the new format, everything looks quite strange. I don’t think there will be many surprises. However, teams that are not at the level of Manchester City, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern, Liverpool, Inter, and Arsenal still have chances to succeed. I hope it will be Barcelona and Manchester City. They face challenges in some games, but ultimately, they will dominate. If I had to bet on a favorite, I’d say we might see two unexpected teams in the final,” Aguero told Mundo Deportivo.
Starting in the 2024/25 season, the Champions League will be played under the Swiss system. The tournament now involves 36 teams playing 144 matches throughout the season.
