Ancelotti comments on Mbappé scandal
Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has addressed the allegations of rape against his player, Kylian Mbappé.
"I'm not here to discuss speculation. My focus is on his work. This break has done him good, and he had some days off. I don't pay attention to rumors. It doesn't affect the player in any way. His days off were planned, and everyone decides for themselves how to spend their time. I went to London for two days without consulting anyone. I’m not a travel agency organizing trips for the players," Ancelotti said, as quoted by Real Madrid’s official website.
Earlier, Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet reported that a rape complaint was filed with the police on October 12, involving an incident at a Stockholm hotel on October 10. Mbappé has since denied any involvement via social media.
Later, Expressen noted that Mbappé is a suspect in the investigation. On October 16, journalist Romain Molina claimed that the French forward has been dealing with mental health issues and is frequently involved in alcohol-related problems.
