Ancelotti: "Mbappe is going through a rough patch. He can't show his best self"
Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti addressed the recent criticism aimed at forward Kylian Mbappé.
"He's training well and going through a rough patch... just like any of us. His struggle is everyone’s struggle: he’s not able to show the best version of himself. But we have to approach this as an opportunity to improve for the future. I’m confident he’ll overcome this challenge. This applies to him, Vinícius, Rodrygo, Bellingham, and myself.
It's clearly a tough time for all of us, but this isn't anything out of the ordinary. It’s normal in sports, where losses are part of the game. We haven’t been used to losing, but that time has come, and while we’re accepting it, giving up is simply not an option. We are a strong and motivated team. This is the hardest club in the world, the best place to go through difficult times. And I'm convinced we’ll get through this," Ancelotti told As.
This season, Mbappé has played 15 matches for Real, scoring eight goals and providing two assists.
