Aston Villa secured a 1-0 victory over Bayern Munich in the second group stage match of the Champions League. The match was held at Villa Park in Birmingham.
The winning goal for the hosts was scored by forward Jhon Durán in the 79th minute.
As a result of the match, the Birmingham club accumulated six points, moving up to sixth place in the group stage standings. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich dropped to 15th place with three points.
Aston Villa's next Champions League match will be against Bologna on October 22, while the Munich side will face Barcelona a day later.
