Atlético bans fan for life for throwing objects at Courtois
Atlético Madrid has successfully identified one of the people who threw objects at Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois during the La Liga match in the 8th round.
"The club has decided to permanently ban the individual identified by the police, in cooperation with our security department, from attending matches. We continue to work with the police to identify other participants, who will also receive a lifetime ban once they are found. Soon, we will amend our internal regulations to prohibit the use of any items or clothing that could be used to conceal identities," said a statement from Atlético, as reported by As.
It is worth noting that the match was halted in the second half when Atlético fans threw various objects into Courtois' penalty area. Photos on social media showed the Belgian goalkeeper carrying a bag of trash off the field.
