Barcelona plans to sign a goalkeeper amidst Ter Stegen's injury
Barcelona has decided to transfer a goalkeeper amidst the injury of their primary shot-stopper, Marc-André ter Stegen, according to COPE.
The Blaugrana intends to sign a free agent immediately, rather than waiting for the winter transfer window.
It is noted that the new signing will serve as the second-choice goalkeeper behind Iñaki Peña.
Ter Stegen sustained an injury during the sixth round of the Spanish league match against Villarreal, which ended 5-1.
Medical examinations revealed a complete rupture of the popliteal tendon in his right knee. The estimated recovery time is 7-8 months.
