Barcelona reaches agreement with Yamal on new contract

Barcelona is set to extend the contract of 17-year-old midfielder Lamine Yamal.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the Catalan club has already reached a verbal agreement with the Spanish player. Once Yamal turns 18, the contract will be extended until 2030.

This season, Yamal has featured in 11 matches for Barcelona, scoring five goals and providing five assists. His current contract is valid until the summer of 2026.

On Saturday, 12 October, Yamal suffered a strain in his left hamstring during a Nations League match against Denmark, which ended 1-0. Barcelona’s press office has not yet disclosed the recovery time for the forward.
