Barcelona thrashes Young Boys in the Champions League as Lewandowski nets a brace
Barcelona cruised to a resounding 5-0 victory over Young Boys in their second group stage match of the Champions League. The encounter took place at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Barcelona.
For the Catalans, Robert Lewandowski scored a brace (8' and 51'), with additional goals from Raphinha (34') and Iñigo Martínez (51'). Swiss defender Mohamed Camara inadvertently turned the ball into his own net in the 81st minute.
As a result of the match, Barcelona has secured three points and moved up to tenth place in the overall Champions League group stage standings. Young Boys, yet to earn any points, have dropped to 36th place.
Barcelona's next Champions League fixture is set for October 23 against Bayern Munich, while the Swiss side will host Inter on the same day.
