Barcelona to extend Marc Bernal's contract until 2029
Barcelona is set to extend the contract of 17-year-old midfielder Marc Bernal until 2029.
According to As, on September 26, the club and Bernal's parents finalized the necessary paperwork. The release clause in the new deal will rise significantly from €20 million to €500 million. Barcelona views Bernal as one of their most talented academy players, even drawing comparisons to "the next Sergio Busquets."
The young player is currently recovering from a cruciate ligament and meniscus injury, with his rehabilitation expected to take around a year.
