Bayer Held to Draw by Bundesliga Newcomers in Home Match

Bayer Leverkusen were unable to secure a victory at home, drawing 2-2 with Bundesliga newcomers Holstein Kiel in the sixth round of the league. The match took place at the BayArena in Leverkusen.

For the hosts, Victor Boniface scored in the 4th minute and Jonas Hofmann added another in the 8th minute. Kiel's goals came from Maxim Greshville in the 45+5th minute and a penalty by Jann-Fiete Arp in the 69th minute.

Following this result, Bayer sit in fifth place in the league table with 11 points, while Holstein remain in 17th place with two points.

Leverkusen's next Bundesliga match is scheduled for October 19 against Eintracht, while the Kiel side will host Union Berlin a day later.
