Bayern CEO calls Barcelona defeat well-deserved
Bayern Munich's CEO, Jan-Christian Dreesen, commented on the team's 1-4 defeat to Barcelona in the third round of the Champions League group stage.
"We are facing significant challenges. In moments like these, it is particularly important to stick together. I am confident that this team has a lot ahead of it. Bayern has always been adept at learning the right lessons from such situations. Recently, we have been showcasing an entertaining style of football. I believe this captivating approach will lead to the results we all expect.
Was the defeat to Barcelona deserved? Yes, absolutely. We anticipated a different outcome from this match. In the second half, we failed to demonstrate our full potential. At the same time, Barcelona displayed an excellent level of play. As a team that lost with dignity, we must congratulate Hansi Flick and his squad on their successful performance," Dreesen told Sky Sport.
Bayern currently sits in 24th place in the Champions League group stage standings, having accumulated three points.
